Virtual Launch

Velocity created an unforgettable and very unique virtual experience for their long-term client Extreme E.

What originally was meant to be a live event was developed into a never seen before virtual launch, using XR V+ technology which provided a perfect platform to bring the brand, vision and teams to life in the virtual space. Integrating key pillars of the series into the event was essential and the series very own St Helena ship presented a perfect background for the presenters, Alejandro Agag and Nicki Shields. The SMART stage allowed the presenters to truly connect and interact with the content and guests including Lewis Hamilton.

From the start, the benefits of a virtual launch were clearly visible. More sustainable, greater audience reach and the opportunity to reinforce the vision and goals of the series. The challenge for the team was to create an impactful setting to present the series, Extreme E car and individual team liveries in an exciting and inspirational way as well as ensuring a high-quality broadcast piece at the same time.
