TBA Group Lead The Way Back To Live Events At The F1 British Grand Prix 2021

It’s been a long time since we felt the buzz of a major public live event, but TBA Group well and truly returned in style, playing an instrumental part in the F1 British Grand Prix at Silverstone. With 9 live projects, 425 contractors, 98 team members and 356,000 guests, fans and spectators across the 4-day event – this was an incredible way to return to live events.

Guy Horner, TBA Group CEO, comments “It was absolutely incredible to see the team back on site at such an iconic, large-scale event. In December 2020 we created and delivered the largest public event in lockdown with the award winning Drive Lapland experience at Silverstone, so to return to that sporting venue with the biggest live event since lockdown is very exciting. With a dominant agency presence both on and off track, this was potentially one of the most multi-faceted events we’ve worked on. The team managed 9 projects across the weekend including VIP hospitality, fan zones, touring structures, luxury dinners and not to mention the international media launch of the stunning new Aston Martin Valhalla.”

He continues “As the F1 British Grand Prix 2021 was selected as a government pilot event, just one month before the event took place, the team had to react quickly. However, this was a fantastic opportunity for us to put all the newly adapted processes, procedures, and systems in place ensuring our clients, their audience and our team can return safely and with confidence to live events. It’s definitely been a great opportunity for us to evolve and get to grips with a new way of working and the team adapted amazingly to the often-challenging restrictions that had to be in place. After a hugely successful weekend, we are now prepared and ready for the future of live events and look forward to the rest of the F1 season with our clients as well as the roles we are playing in the Commonwealth Games and the FIFA World Cup in 2022.”
